When this movie released, Roger Ebert reviewed the movie thus - “The screenplay by Eric Roth has the complexity of modern fiction….[Hanks’] performance is a breathtaking balancing act between comedy and sadness, in a story rich in big laughs and quiet truths….what a magical movie.”
No doubt the movie is magical, and Ebert such an acclaimed reviewer. However when I saw this piece of news in the Forbes today, my thoughts drifted back to the movie. Forrest keeps getting handsome dividends from the money he had invested in a fruit compnay when it was founded. As you know, the company was Apple and the best fruit company ever. Now, they are ready with their even more updated iPod Generation 6. Each sequel of the original iPod have always managed to create the hype and then surpassed all the expectations.
Speaking of hype, do you know what Microsoft is upto these days? Check out “Sync My Ride” . It is several levels ahead of the basic FM converter/charger for iPod/other MP3 players. I love the concept and waiting to experience it …
